Instagram

Connect Instagram and your bot replies to Direct messages automatically. Like WhatsApp, Instagram goes through the Meta API, so the account must be a professional (Business or Creator) account linked to a Facebook Page.

What you need#

  • An Instagram professional account (Business or Creator).
  • A Facebook Page linked to that Instagram account.
  • A Meta app with an Access Token, the Page ID, and a Verify Token you choose yourself.

Connecting Instagram#

  1. Open the Instagram card

On your bot's Deploy tab, find the Instagram channel card (“Connect via Meta API”) and click Setup. The Connect Instagram drawer opens.
  2. Fill in the three fields

Paste your Access Token, the Page ID of the linked Facebook Page, and a Verify Token — any string you pick, e.g. my_custom_verify_token (you'll reuse it when configuring the webhook in Meta).
  3. Connect

Click Connect. Once linked, the card shows Connected and the bot answers DMs sent to your Instagram account.

Meta review applies

As with WhatsApp, Meta reviews the app and permissions before messaging works at scale. Plan for that lead time when scheduling an Instagram launch.

Status & disconnecting#

The Instagram card shows Connected, Not set up or Error. Disconnect from the card to stop serving Instagram; your bot, knowledge and history stay intact, and you can reconnect later.
